First official application on her way to

the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France

A MILESTONE
We can't quite believe it. After being harassed in the Netherlands for 1 year, 7 months, 1 week, 6 days, a total of 591 days by the so-called RvdK or the Council for Child Protection, the day has come for us to send our application to the European Court of Human Rights. By registered mail. An absolute milestone for everyone involved, both past and present. Besides being a personal milestone for us, it's also a highlight for the Foundation. This is the first official document that has been sent!

FILLING OUT THE FORM OOPS
However, correctly filling out this form in accordance with the Court's regulations (Article 47) took us days. There can absolutely be no mistakes, as you only get one chance in Strasbourg. Consulting with Joanna on how and where to place certain texts. Which articles have been violated? What do we write there? What documents do we include as attachments? And how should these attachments look? In short, all questions that we spent quite some time on together, but I can say that it has been very educational. Now we know at least what lawyers usually do, and we can better inform you when you face this moment.

STAYING POSITIVE. HOW?
I, Linda, always try to look at things from a positive perspective, including this process. Sometimes it takes a while...sometimes I am positive right away. Many insiders know what a tough, busy, uncertain, changing, and exciting time we have already been through, and I'm putting it lightly. In a personal blog, which you can follow on ABCinLAW, I will elaborate on this further sometime. But how can you stay positive when sending in such a document? Isn't there a lot going on? Yes, that's absolutely true. You don't do this just because. There is urgent and direct danger to your family in some form or another. The positive aspect of this whole story is that we have wanted to do this since the first moment our LAW was institutionally abducted by the IASS Zaragoza in Spain, and now, through the ruling of the RvdK, the door is wide open for us as individuals to submit an application together with the porAymara Foundation. If the ruling had been different, this door would have remained closed.

THE FINISH LINE IN SIGHT
For now, we are celebrating this milestone fully, although we now have to wait anxiously for the outcome. In a day or three, this document will arrive in Strasbourg, where it will be assessed and a ruling will follow. When will we know this outcome? No idea. Whatever happens, keep following us on this journey because this could break new ground for many others!
At this moment, a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders, we feel relaxation in our bodies. Yes, it's not over yet, but we must stay positive in our mindsets...

DEAR PEOPLE
To the dear people who have stood by us from day one, sometimes for a long time, sometimes briefly, it doesn't matter, we don't forget anyone and the support of each and every one of you is incredibly important and greatly appreciated, and it absolutely helps us get through this story. Our gratitude is immense!
Let's raise a toast to life today, because life is victorious, life is beautiful and filled with love for you and me, and this phase will eventually pass for us. It will not have been in vain and has a higher purpose. We continue to believe that justice will prevail and that we can live again as life is meant to be.

With love & light
Linda
